40th Anniversary Weekend
August 29-31, 2025
A celebration of longevity and achievement for the Nu Wave Swim Club family. This event is open to all current and former Nu Wave swimmers, coaches, and families. We invite you all to join us for the weekend to participate in team events and to share stories and memories of your time spent with the Nu Wave Swim Club. Share with any Nu Wave family as we surely have not been able to contact everyone!

Friday, August 29
Open invitation to observe Nu Wave practices: UNO High Performance groups (4:00-6:00 PM)/Newman groups (5:30-7:30 PM).
*Contact Ross Hedrick (nuwaveswimclub@gmail.com) to inquire about visiting swimmers joining a practice.
Saturday, August 30
Masters/Alumni swim at Newman 6:30-8:00 AM (Sign-up)
Senior High Performance group practice at Newman 8:00-9:30 AM
Nu Wave Intrasquad Meet at Newman 9:30 AM-12:00 PM
*Alumni races, auction, breakfast, etc. (Sign-up) *Current members sign up your athletes via the TU website link.
Lunch and open swim at Newman 12:30-3:30 PM
*Open to swimmers and families.
LSU v. Clemson college football watch party at Port Orleans Brewing Co. 5:30 PM-??? (RSVP)
Sunday, August 31
Women in swimming workout and breakfast at Newman 8:30-10:30 AM (Sign-up)
*Session will be led by former Nu Wave Head Coach and 2X Olympic swimmer Ashley Tappin. Open to all swimmers 11 & older!
*Swim and discussion 8:30-10:30 AM (breakfast will be available).
St. Charles Ave run meet up at Newman 8:00 AM
Audubon Zoo Take-over 12:00 PM
