2024 18&U Spring Cup Recap

Very successful weekend at the 2024 18&U Spring Cup held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida at the completely renovated, iconic International Swimming Hall of Fame facility. Three Nu Wave swimmers achieved almost 100% best times in their first fast long course swimming in over 9 months.

Logan Beebe achieved best times and his first Winter Junior Championship qualifying times in both the 100 Fly and 200 Fly. Logan placed 3^rd in the 200 Fly and 5^th in the 100 Fly!

Enzo Solitario was a perfect 8 for 8 in best times dropping time in both his preliminary and Finals swims. Enzo was the Spring Cup Champion in the 200 Free setting a new pool record and the 15-18/Open Team Record. Later in the same session, Enzo finished 2^nd in the 100 Fly setting the 15-18/Open Team Record and a new 17-18 Louisiana State Record. In the 50 Free, Enzo finished 2^nd setting the15-18/Open Team Record and a new 17-18 Louisiana State Record. On the final day, Enzo finished 2^nd in the 100 Free setting another 15-18/Open Team Record.

Kayden Hedrick was 3 for 3 in setting new best times in his Finals swims. Kayden finished 10^th in the 200 Free. Later in the same session, Kayden joined his teammate on the podium placing 3^rd in the 100 Fly. On day 2, Kayden was the Spring Cup Champion in the 200 Fly. His time set a new pool record, the 15-18/Open Team Record, a new 17-18 State Record, AND qualified for the upcoming Olympic Team Trials in Indianapolis!
